We hope that families like yours will join Families Like Ours: Growing. Stronger. Together, Rainbow Families DC’s 2007 Parenting Conference! Building upon our successful 2005 conference, we are confident that this year’s event will draw together hundreds of GLBT parents and their children, prospective parents, expert panelists, service providers, businesses and others for a day packed with information, resource-sharing, and community building.

Our theme for this year’s conference says it all: growing. stronger. together.

The day will include:

• A keynote address by Abigail Garner, author of Families Like Mine: Children of Gay Parents Tell It Like It Is
• Dozens of workshops
• Kids' Camp for children 8 and younger. (NOTE: Kids' Camp registration is now closed)
• COLAGE program for ages 9 to 12 and 13+
• Resource Fair

WORKSHOP SCHEDULE CHANGES will be listed here.

• The current online list of workshops and times is accurate.
• Two workshops listed in the PDF brochure have switched times: Core Issues to Consider in Adopting a Child will be held during Session B; Fostering, Mentoring, and Respite Care will be held during Session C.
• The ABCs of the Adoption Process will be held only during Session A, not also during Session B as listed in the PDF brochure.
• When Couples Split has been cancelled due to low registration.
