Connecting, Supporting, & Empowering LGBTQ Families in the DMV

Workshop Tracks

The 2016 Family Conference featured four tracks of workshop sessions:

Paths To Parenthood, Creating Our Families will explore a wide range of topics about creating families—adoption, foster care, donor insemination, surrogacy, infertility issues—and the decision-making process around starting a family.

Navigating Our Communities & Institutions, Changing Hearts & Minds will address challenges that remain in our communities for our families to experience fully lived social equality.

Raising Our Children, Parenting & Healthy Families will address a range of issues such as: general parenting skills; issues for single parents; being a dad in a mom’s world; parenting teens; and more.

Legal, Financial & Legislative Hot Topics will provide expert guidance on the many complex legal and financial challenges surrounding the creation, security, and safety of LGBTQ families.
